We use flappers basically for most of our close in fishng, when distance is not really necessary. Fish like Flounder and whiting are just a few of the species that come close in to feed, The rigs do not incorporate a bait shield of any sort as the bait is not put under any pressure as used in the clipped down rigs, The rigs differ a little to basically search for fish, feeding either on or off the bottom ,and when we can determine where they are, we can target that area and hopefully catch more fish.
